🍋💧 Lemon Essential Oil 💧🍋
What’s the squeeze on lemon?
Lemon essential oil is the essence of the fruit that gives lemon it’s distinct scent.
But do you know the benefits of lemon essential oil + the many ways to use it?
If not, then read on...
Ok, let’s talk benefits. Lemon is known for its purifying properties. It has distinct cleansing + deodorizing characteristics that make it a popular choice for cleaning surfaces + purifying the air. When it comes to our bodies, lemon has the ability to aid in digestion + support healthy respiratory function when taken internally. *
And what about the ways to use lemon essential oil? Here are just a few ways that I use this oil:
🍋 I add 1-2 drops of lemon eo to my drinking water for detoxification + liver support
🍋 I use lemon eo in my diy cleaning solutions (especially my wood furniture polish - no lab made fragrance that mimics the scent of lemon here! ) Go to merakibda.com/blog for recipes
🍋 Lemon eo is fantastic at breaking down stubborn sticky residue (think the stickiness from a price sticker or gum!)
🍋 It’s also been known to remove permanent marker from whiteboards, walls + glass
🍋 I often add 1 drop of lemon eo to my toothpaste before brushing my teeth for a refreshing clean + whitening effect
🍋 Lemon eo is a great skin exfoliator so I’ll add a drop to my facial cleanser (avoiding the eyes)
🍋 I love to use a drop of lemon eo in my homemade salad dressing and guacamole (you can use it in baking also - I don’t because.... I’m a terrible baker 👩🏻🍳)
🍋 I add lemon eo to my diffuser blends to uplift me + purify the air at the same time
And so many more ways to use this powerhouse oil!
